I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Tropical Hotel – honestly, the name made me think it might be one of those places trying too hard with fake palm trees and piña colada machines. But I was pleasantly surprised by how grounded and comfortable it actually feels. The lobby has this relaxed vibe that’s tropical without being cheesy about it, and the staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing during check-in (no fumbling around with the computer system like you get at some places).

The rooms are solid – I mean, this is a 4-star place so you’re getting what you’d expect, but there are some nice touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need.
