The old guy who runs it doesn’t speak much English, but he’ll remember your order after the second day.

The apartment itself – well, “spacious” isn’t just marketing speak here. I’ve stayed in plenty of European city apartments where you’re basically living in a shoebox, but this place actually has room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The ceilings are higher than you’d expect, which makes everything feel more open, and there’s decent natural light coming through the windows. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re in the city. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional motorbike (it’s Athens, after all), but nothing that’ll keep you awake. The AC works properly too – and trust me, you’ll appreciate that if you’re visiting during summer.

Check-in was surprisingly smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating your arrival time in advance since there’s no front desk situation. The host was actually responsive, which seems rare these days. One thing worth mentioning – parking can be a bit tricky in this area if you’re renting a car. It’s mostly street parking, and Greeks have… let’s call it a creative approach to fitting cars into tight spaces. But honestly, you probably don’t need a car here anyway. The metro connections are solid, and you can walk to most of the major sites. I actually enjoyed the evening stroll down to Syntagma Square – takes about 15 minutes and you get to see how the city transitions from residential to commercial.

The 9.6 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get. Plus, staying in this neighborhood gives you a much better sense of how Athenians actually live, rather than just seeing the postcard version of the city. If you’re the type who likes discovering local spots and doesn’t need a concierge holding your hand, this place hits the sweet spot.

  Completely renovated, spacious and well laid out, in a quiet but central location. And as the icing on the cake there is a dishwasher, which is not mentioned anywhere here.

  I picked this apartment because I have a friend in the neighborhood. The Panethenaic Stadium is just behind the corner, Syntagma is a ten minutes walk, Plaka 15 minutes on foot, Akropolis Museum and Parthenon 20 to 25 minutes… All places can be reached after a relaxing walk through the National Park were all kinds of treasures are waiting to be discovered. Many nice restaurants, bars and shops are located in the vicinity of this apartment. Kekkos Traditional Café became my favorite place to take my breakfast (5 minutes walk, great food, nice people!). The apartment is spacious, clean, fully equipped and situated in a quite location (I slept like a rock in a very comfortable bed). Just wished I could have stayed another week but… I will be back!

  The apartment was recently refurbished and in a very good location just 15'-20' walk from Syntagma Square. Quite a safe location and central. Super clean and Gabriel was a great host to me and my family. would definitely recommend
  
  What could be improved: I think there would be better if an Iron was included. Also, outside the apartment, the area had some construction going on which was kind of annoying in the morning.

  The stay was excellent. The treatment we received was perfect and we will definitely try to book for our next stay as we always need a place to stay in the neighborhood. I could not say one bad thing. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. It really made us enjoy the stay a bit more. I would definitely recommend this apartment in order to have a pleasant time in Athens as you are in a good neighbourhood too and close to the metro and ten minutes from the. national gardens which are perfect with kids.

  Very well equipped and comfy. Really good location – quiet neighborhood, within the walking distance from metro station. Nice small local restaurant on the other side of the building. And last but not least – two bathrooms, really helps in the morning 😉

  The apartment seems like it is recently renovated, and everything felt brand new. It’s clear that the owner put a lot of thought into every detail—the kitchen, the shower, and the fact that there are two toilets, which is important when you have two kids. The beds were actually comfortable, and the LED lighting in the living room was perfect for catching a movie with the kids before bedtime, making it ideal for a family vacation. The location was also fantastic, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and just a five-minute walk from the Athens National Garden.

  Really happy with the communication of Gabriel. The place looked brand new and spotless. The apartment is in the centre of the city at a five minute walk to the botanic garden next to syntagma, the Greek Parliament. We traveled with our 1.5 year-old daughter and the baby cot was of good quality compared to other trips.
  
  What could be improved: The only minor comments would be that given the apartment is located in the centre of the city, there is some noise from the neighboring cafes and restaurants in the evenings. Because of the kid we got in bed quite early, which meant we couldn't open the windows to cool the room naturally but had to use the air-conditioning.
  Also the streets are really narrow and I had to drive extremely slowly with the rental SUV trying not to hit any parked car. There isn't much parking space in the streets so we had to park our car in the large Polis Park underground parking at a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment.

  Beautiful, recently remodeled apartment in a good location for tourists with two large-enough bathrooms. Can’t stress enough how a large bathroom makes life nicer. Kitchen practical, and there’s an elevator for luggage. Restaurants are nearby. Host arranged for a reliable airport transfer and is friendly. Windows and shades and heat pumps all work perfectly.
