Honestly, when I first heard about WYZ Museum by UPSTREET, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, a hotel with “museum” in the name could go either way, right? But walking into this place, you immediately get it. The whole concept actually works beautifully, and I’m saying this as someone who’s stayed in plenty of boutique hotels that try too hard to be different.

What struck me first was how they’ve managed to make art feel approachable rather than intimidating. You know that feeling when you walk into some gallery hotels and feel like you can’t touch anything? Well, this isn’t that. The carefully curated pieces throughout the property create these little discovery moments – I found myself taking different routes through the lobby just to see what I’d notice next. The rooms themselves strike this perfect balance between contemporary design and comfort that actually matters when you’re trying to sleep. And speaking of sleep, the beds are legitimately fantastic (I’m picky about this stuff), plus the blackout situation is on point if you’re someone who needs total darkness.

The UPSTREET team clearly knows what they’re doing when it comes to service – there’s this effortless attention to detail that doesn’t feel fussy or over-the-top. Check-in was smooth, and the staff genuinely seemed to know their neighborhood well, which is honestly refreshing. I appreciated that they could give specific recommendations rather than just handing over a generic city guide. The whole vibe feels more like staying somewhere that locals would actually hang out rather than a tourist bubble. With a 9.2 rating, they’re obviously doing something right, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back. It’s one of those places that manages to feel special without being pretentious – which, let’s be honest, is harder to pull off than it sounds.

  We absolutely loved the apartment: everything was brand new. It felt like we were the first guests to stay there.
  The apartment is equipped with everything you might need. But most importantly, the hosts were always in touch. They responded to all our questions quickly and efficiently, and it was clear that they cared about us.
  There is a small gym in the building, as well as a washing machine and a dryer, so you get additional amenities.
  The apartment is located right in the center of Athens, so you can walk anywhere you want.
