101 Adrianou Apartments Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to 101 Adrianou Apartments on one of Athens’ most historic streets, you immediately understand why this place scores so ridiculously high with guests. I mean, you’re literally standing on ancient ground here — the cobblestones beneath your feet have probably seen more history than most museums. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Plaka, and honestly, the location alone is worth the stay. You can practically reach out and touch the Acropolis from here, which is something that never gets old, even after multiple visits to Athens.

The Heart of Ancient Athens

What strikes me most about staying here is how you’re genuinely living among the ruins — and I don’t mean that in a dusty, archaeological way. The Ancient Agora is your backyard, the Roman Agora is around the corner, and those tourist crowds that swarm the area during the day? They disappear after sunset, leaving you with this magical, almost private access to one of the world’s most important historical sites. Couples absolutely love this spot (they rate the location 9.8, which honestly doesn’t surprise me), because there’s something undeniably romantic about evening strolls through 2,500-year-old streets.

Your Home Base

The apartment setup here really works well for travelers who want more than just a hotel room. Each unit comes with its own kitchen, which is actually pretty smart when you’re staying in a neighborhood where you can pop into local markets and pick up fresh olives, feta, and honey. I’ve found that having your own space to spread out makes a huge difference, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights. The apartments feel authentically Greek without being overly themed — you know what I mean, no fake columns or cheesy reproductions.

Living Like a Local

Here’s what you probably won’t read in other reviews — the building sits on Adrianou Street, which transforms completely depending on the time of day. Mornings bring locals heading to work, afternoons see tour groups passing through, but evenings? That’s when the street becomes yours. There’s a little restaurant practically next door where the owner will remember your name after two visits, and the tiny shops selling handmade sandals and jewelry stay open late for people like you who are actually staying in the neighborhood.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve spent a few days here. You’re not just visiting Athens — you’re temporarily living in the most historically significant square mile in Europe. Parking can be tricky (this is ancient Athens, after all), but honestly, you won’t need a car. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick metro ride away. The staff understands that guests here aren’t just passing through; they’re people who chose this location specifically because they want to experience Athens properly. That attention to detail shows in everything from the way they handle check-in to their recommendations for avoiding tourist traps.

Reviews of 101 Adrianou Apartments

  • Eyal from Israel (10/10)

The room was perfect, in a perfect location and the service was outstanding . Just a few minutes walk from all points of interest, we never had to take a taxi. The room is on a beautiful street with many art shops. The room was spacious, modern and clean. We had a stunning view of the Acropolis. I notified the hotel that it is my wife’s birthday and asked for some wine and chocolate if possible: not only they had it prepared, they also filled the room with many balloons and a sign for her! We were thrilled! This was a perfect service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I cannot wait to come back.

Great communication with the hosts. We arrived very late and their instructions allowed us to flawlessly enter our room to rest. The room is a extra large studio with plenty of room for 4 people and there was just the 2 of us. Walk out the door and you are in the Plaka shopping area. Great location and fun.
