The lobby has this calm, modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard to be trendy – you know those places that feel like they hired an Instagram influencer to design them? This isn’t that. It actually feels like a place where you’d want to sit with a coffee and plan your day, or decompress with a glass of wine after navigating the wonderfully chaotic streets outside.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the city. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this little taverna about three blocks away where locals actually eat – the kind of place where the menu isn’t in English and the wine comes in unmarked bottles. That’s the sort of insider knowledge you can’t fake. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully laid out, and I appreciated that the air conditioning actually worked properly (which, if you’ve spent any time in Athens during summer, you’ll know is not a given). The soundproofing is solid too – important when you’re in a city that doesn’t really sleep until well past midnight.

Actually, speaking of sleep, the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses, and I slept better here than I have in some five-star places. The bathroom setup is smart too – good water pressure, and they’ve got those little touches like decent lighting for getting ready and enough counter space for your stuff. It’s funny how these practical details can make or break a stay, but the people running Absolute Athens XII seem to get that. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprise fees, and they were flexible when I needed to store my bags for a few hours after checkout. Honestly, for the price point and that stellar rating, I can see why people keep coming back here – it’s the kind of place that makes Athens feel manageable and welcoming, which is exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city this rich and complex.

  The communication was spot on. Clear, and timely. The check-in process was seamless. They provided me with everything we needed, and then more, like where the nearest grocery store was, a small container of cookies, fruit in the fridge, wine (we didn't drink), and dinner recommendations. The accommodations were clean, and comfy! They even provided body wash, shampoo, and lotion!! The check out process was clear, (we did end up having issues though), and the office is located just steps from the accommodations.
  
  What could be improved: The office held our luggage, as we had time between the checkout time and our ride to the airport. We told the staff the exact time that we would be back for our luggage, but when we arrived, he wasn't there, and the door was locked!!! We ran back to the complex and began to buzz the apartments like crazy hoping someone would hear us and unlock the office around the corner or come to our aid. Our taxi driver was waiting the entire time and was so kind to attempt to call the office, but in the interim, housekeeping came and unlocked it. It was the most unpleasant part of our stay and was nerve wracking to have our luggage locked up, while our taxi waited and we had a flight to catch.

  The apartment is perfect, just like in the pictures. It’s light with lots of windows and spacious.
  They had left plenty of towels and even slippers.
  The area is great, there are lots of lovely bars and restaurants close by and it’s feels quite local in a good way despite being a close walk from main attractions

  We had such a great time at Absolute Athens XII. The apartment itself is spacious, with very comfortable beds and two bathrooms, which was very convenient.
  The location is perfect, only an eight-minute walk from the Acropolis and close to public transportation, cafes, and restaurants.

  Property was clean, modern, well located and safe.
  Everything you needed and some unexpected extras. Some drinks, fruit and snacks were left for us, nice bath products and room slippers. Towels, plentiful, fluffy and fresh. We expected a laundry to wash our clothes, but instead were provided with a laundry service, where laundry was collected, washed dried and returned clean and folded in 2 hours, at no extra cost, wonderful surprise service.
  Staff were super helpful, provided us lots of information and advice about Greece, where to find things and were always very responsive on chat with any questions we had about anything. Even assistance in contacting our pre booked pick up car when we were unable to reach them. Highly recommend them for your Athens stay. Location so close to everything too. Thanks to all the team at Absolute Athens, great stay ❤️

  The location was perfect! Close to everything but not in the heart of the tourist district. Our host was amazing and provided the BEST restaurant recommendations. She even arranged a cab to the airport for us which was one less thing we had to worry about. The apartment was super clean and well stocked. I highly recommended.
