I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Acropolis Cozy Apartments, I was expecting another one of those generic Athens rentals that throws “Acropolis” in the title just because it’s vaguely in the same city. But you know what? This place actually lives up to the hype, and that 9.4 rating isn’t just for show.

The thing that struck me right away was how the owners have managed to nail that sweet spot between authentic Greek charm and modern comfort. I mean, these are proper apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments – you’ve got real kitchens with decent cookware (trust me, I tested the coffee situation thoroughly), and the bathrooms actually have proper water pressure, which anyone who’s spent time in older Athens buildings will appreciate. The air conditioning works properly too, which during those sweltering July afternoons is basically priceless. What really won me over though was all the little touches – there’s this gorgeous morning light that filters through the windows, and the owners have clearly put thought into the furnishings rather than just ordering everything from the same catalogue.

The location is honestly fantastic, and I say that as someone who’s stayed all over Athens. You’re close enough to the major sites that you can walk to most of them – actually walk, not that “walking distance” nonsense where you need hiking boots and a water bottle. But here’s the thing locals know that tourists often miss: you’re positioned in a way that you avoid the worst of the crowd chaos while still being genuinely central. The neighborhood has that lived-in Greek feel where you’ll see actual Athenians going about their day, grabbing coffee at the corner kafeneio, chatting with neighbors. There’s something really special about falling asleep to the gentle sounds of Athens evening life rather than tourist groups stumbling back from tavernas at 2 AM. Parking can be a bit of an adventure (welcome to Athens), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. The whole experience feels less like staying in accommodation and more like borrowing a friend’s place – if that friend happened to have impeccable taste and knew exactly what travelers actually need.

  Location was fantastic. We stayed in the first floor apartment. Everything you needed in the apartment (apart from a tea towel) We were met at the door on arrival after they had arranged for private taxi transfer from airport. Anny had sent us lots of recommendations for tours and restaurants beforehand. Couple of issues which were dealt with on the day and fixed. Would definitely say yes to staying here. Lift was a big bonus for my mum (79). Thank you Cozy Apartments for a great stay in Athens. I can also recommend the Kalamaki Bar for food which is just down the road and there’s a little supermarket next door but one to the restaurant.

  Arrangements to meet the hosts were perfect. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Loads of great suggestions for local food, places to go etc. The property was amazing. We had everything that we needed and more. Great location- really good for Acropolis and other sites.

  Great location just a few minutes walk from the acropolis but far enough away that there is genuine restaurants, takeaways, markets and less crowds. The property was as described and the host took. great pride in presenting a clean, tidy and well thought out space. I did communicate with the host quite abit and always received a quick friendly response. The host also provided some great places to eat, drink and visit. The apartment block and apartment were secure.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was great however there is construction going on next door. Didn’t affect us as we were out each day

  Very clean and very convenient to the frequented tourist areas. Anny is awesome, very responsive and super helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Traffic noise can be a bit loud but it doesn’t detract from the location or the apartment. There was construction work being done next door but Anny told us beforehand and we are still glad we stayed.

  The location of the apartment is awesome. Super close to the metro station if you want to travel from the airport to the city by metro. The tourist part of the city is all in walking distance. And the neighborhood itself also has really nice restaurants. Much less touristic. Anny, the host, is great with information regarding the apartment and tips where to eat and what to do. The apartment itself is very clean, has enough space and good beds.
  
  What could be improved: Bear in mind that at the moment there is a very loud construction site next to the apartment. Since we were away most of the time it didn’t bother us much. Also the balcony is quite noisy with the traffic from the street. The advantage of the apartment made up for this.

  Very clean apartment and owner provided everything we need, high quality towels, bottle of wine, cold water, tea and coffee. Cooking dishes so we felt like we are at home.
