They pointed me toward this little taverna about a ten-minute walk away where I had some of the best moussaka of my trip, and honestly, that kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold.

What really sets this place apart though – and maybe this is why it’s pulling a 9.5 rating – is how they’ve managed to balance being close enough to the action without being right in the middle of it. You can walk to the major sites (the Acropolis is obviously the big draw here), but when you come back in the evening, you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds that come with those prime tourist locations. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll see families hanging laundry and old men playing backgammon at the corner kafeneio, which gives you that authentic Athens experience without feeling like you’re staying in a museum. Plus, and this might sound minor but it’s not – the water pressure is excellent and the air conditioning actually works, two things that can make or break a summer stay in Greece. I mean, you’re going to be doing a lot of walking in potentially brutal heat, so coming back to a properly cool room with a decent shower isn’t just nice, it’s essential.

  Walking distance to Acropolis. Clean, large rooms. We stayed in 2-bedroom apartment. Modern design. Old but nice.

  This flat has two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is well equipped. The location is very convenient with many restaurants and a supermarket close by. It’s just a short walk to the major sites. The staff of Bill and John are very friendly and communication with them is easy and good.

  We had an excellent experience at Acropolis White Key Residence during our stay in Athens! The staff was extremely responsive and helped us arrange transportation throughout our trip. When we had trouble unlocking our door at 9 PM, someone arrived within five minutes of our text to assist us.
  
  The apartment itself is newly renovated and spacious, conveniently located just two streets away from a variety of restaurants. It’s only a five-minute walk to the Acropolis Museum and a ten-minute walk to Plaka, making it easy to explore all the major historical sites.
  
  Bill and John partner with another company for transportation, and our driver, Kostas (Konstantinos), was fantastic. He was friendly, provided a wealth of recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Athens, and was always early for pick-ups.

  Very clean. Great location to restaurants, acropolis, shopping. Chris met us to get us settled.very helpful and kind . It was quiet despite a busy street and the air conditioning was wonderful. The wash machine is brand new. No dryer but the provide a drying rack and if you use the spin cycle things dry fast.
  Easy to get an Uber or use freenow to get to cruise port . About $20 e.
  Very close (steps) to the metro too.
  You can walk to a restaurant called Smile. 3 minute walk. Highly recommend this place.

  Large modern well equipped apartment. Location close to metro, restaurants and acropolis. very comfortable beds and luxurious towels and linen. The host was friendly and helpful and punctual meeting us. It was a lovely stay for 5 adults and a toddler .
