The staff seemed genuinely local, which I always appreciate because they’ll give you the real scoop on where to eat nearby (and trust me, they know some spots that aren’t in the guidebooks). My room was bigger than I expected – honestly, calling it an “apartment” isn’t just marketing speak. There’s actual space to spread out your stuff, a proper seating area where you could work or just decompress, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has good pressure. The beds are firm but not brick-hard, and the blackout curtains actually work, which saved me since I’m a light sleeper.

What really won me over was how quiet it stays at night despite being right in the action. The green square acts like a buffer zone, I think – you get the energy of the neighborhood during the day but it settles down beautifully after sunset. Parking was easier than I thought it’d be too, though I’d still recommend asking about spots when you book if you’re driving. The whole area has this authentic neighborhood feel where you’ll see regulars at the corner café and locals walking their dogs in the square. It’s not touristy-sterile but it’s not rough around the edges either – just that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing how people actually live there.
