Athens Neos Kosmos penthouse, sea and city view Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Athens, but Athens Neos Kosmos penthouse, sea and city view honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best possible way. When you first walk in, there’s this moment where you’re not quite sure if you’re in someone’s incredibly stylish apartment or an actual hotel. The penthouse setup gives you these sweeping views that stretch from the Saronic Gulf all the way to the Acropolis, and honestly, I spent way too much time just standing on that terrace with my morning coffee.
The Neos Kosmos neighborhood is sort of this hidden gem that most tourists never discover – you’re close enough to walk to the National Museum of Contemporary Art (which, you know what, is actually worth the visit), but far enough from the Plaka crowds that you can breathe. I loved how you could grab groceries at the local market just down the street, where the vendors still remember your face after a couple days. The metro connection is solid too, though I found myself walking more than I expected because the area has this authentic Athens vibe that’s hard to find near the main tourist strips. Parking was surprisingly manageable – not something you can say about most central Athens spots.
What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you don’t always get, even at higher-rated places. The penthouse feels lived-in rather than sterile, with thoughtful touches like actually good kitchen equipment (I made dinner twice) and blackout curtains that work – trust me, Mediterranean morning sun is no joke. The 9.8 rating makes sense when you experience little things like the water pressure being fantastic and the air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. I mean, the sea view hits different at sunset, especially with a glass of local wine from that little shop around the corner. There’s something about watching the ferry lights dot the water while the city settles into evening that makes you understand why people fall in love with Athens beyond just the ancient sites.
To book hotel in Athens during the famous Athens Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts ancient history enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

The apartment was excellent. Close to Acropolis, spacious, clean with an excellent host!
Helen from United Kingdom (10/10)
The apartment was spacious for a large family group travelling with all the amenities and handy for the sights of Athens but nice and quiet at night. It was lovely to sit on the rooftop terrace for breakfast and enjoy the large balcony. The apartment was clean and the hosts very welcoming and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others and would stay here again.

Erasmia met us to hand over the keys and she made us feel comfortable right away. She also gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Athens.

Dimitri was prompt and professional
The penthouse is beautiful, traditional styling which we lovedMaria from Greece (10/10)
The location was excellent, in walking distance to the touristic centre.
Dimitris is a very helpful host! The apartment has a beautiful view from the very large veranda and with all the amenities.Sammi from China (10/10)
friendly landlord, big room, although the furniture a bit dated, it is cozy. will stay again if next time in Athens.
Stylemistake from Lithuania (10/10)
Terrace and veranda were amazing, with a fantastic couch and view, and we've spent a lot of good time there. Many visible landmarks, yet quiet streets.
Very good and cozy design, with a lot of vegetation inside and on the terrace, with a little bit vintage furniture which I like. Plenty of space for working from abroad as programmers. Nice beds and very clean rooms.
Has the entire set of amenities, nearly anything that might be needed for living for more than a week. Washing machines, dryers, electric grill, coffee machines, you name it. We especially loved the juke box in the lobby and a small bluetooth speaker which was cool to use on the terrace in the evening to chill to nice music and wine.
Dimitris, out host – exceptional, quick to contact, very helpful, very flexible with our requests, the go to person if you want to know how to best explore Athens, and a very welcoming persona. Loved the guy, you won't be disappointed.
The location itself is great, two grocery stores right outside, great restaurants nearby, few minutes walk to metro, bus stations, very quick reach to Acropolis and Sintagma square. I simply loved it. I'd easily recommend this to anyone.Antony from United Kingdom (10/10)
Spacious and superbly equipped penthouse in an empathetic style and central location, with a gracious and efficient host.
Manos from Greece (10/10)
Wonderful! We will come back again soon to this penthouse.
It has newly renovated bedrooms, new beds, and new mattresses. Very large, clean and nice apartment. We really wonder how the previous guest said these things about the penthouse. I am glad we did not believe him.
Staying at the unusually large veranda is extremely relaxing. The host was very friendly and he had wine and fruits for us. The location is excellent. It is very close to the tourist area, but we avoided the noise and the narrow streets. This penthouse has a wonderful view and easy access to the beach as well.
In total a wonderful place for families and groups of friends, at a very good price for the center of Athens.Haowei from China (10/10)
