Athens Tower Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into Athens Tower, I wasn’t expecting much from another business hotel in the city center – but this place actually surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this sleek, modern vibe that feels more boutique than corporate, and the staff at check-in were genuinely helpful (not just going through the motions, you know?). What really caught my attention was how quiet it was inside, even though you’re right in the thick of things downtown. They’ve clearly invested in good soundproofing, which is a godsend if you’re trying to get some actual sleep in Athens.
The rooms are honestly well-designed – I mean, whoever planned the layout really thought about how travelers actually use their space. There’s enough surface area for all your stuff, the bathroom doesn’t feel cramped, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for a 4-star. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, in Athens summer heat, this matters more than fancy amenities), and the WiFi is fast enough that I could actually get work done. You’ll find little touches that show they get it – like enough electrical outlets near the desk and blackout curtains that actually block light. The views vary depending on which side you’re on, but even the city-facing rooms give you a decent sense of Athens spreading out below.
What I really appreciate about Athens Tower is its location – you’re walking distance from some of the best neighborhoods without being stuck right on top of the tourist chaos. It’s close enough to Syntagma that you can easily hop on the metro, but far enough from the crowds that you’re not dealing with street noise until 3am. The area has some solid local tavernas within a few blocks (not the touristy ones, but places where you’ll hear more Greek than English), and there’s a decent supermarket nearby if you need to grab basics. Parking can be tricky in this part of the city, but the hotel can help arrange something if you’re driving. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Athens, but it delivers exactly what most travelers need: clean, comfortable, well-located, and professionally run without the stuffiness. If you’re looking for a reliable base to explore the city without breaking the bank, Athens Tower hits that sweet spot between quality and value.
Athens hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Greece’s historic capital, known for its unparalleled ancient monuments and vibrant contemporary culture.

Reviews of Athens Tower
Michael from Luxembourg – 31 May 2025 (8/10)
Rooms were top notch, clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had any issues. Best of all, the hotel is located perfectly if you want to be part of the old Athens and be in walking distance of all the sights.
What could be improved: The main problem we faced with the hotel was that the elevators were shared with the popular bar on the top floor – this meant that we sometimes needed to wait 5 -10 minutes in line before getting to our rooms on the 5th floor. The same bar was also super noisy until late night. The breakfast was very poor compared to all the amazing breakfast restaurants that are all around it.
The location is great for sightseeing but also full of life and sounds, don’t expect quiet when wanting to go to sleep – but excellent if you want to participate in all the Athens has to offer.Nur from Malaysia – 29 May 2025 (9/10)
Good location and metro only 100 meters away.
What could be improved: Small elevator, fit max for 4 personsPedro from Portugal – 18 April 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: A bit noisy given the rooftop barPatrick from New Zealand – 23 March 2025 (8/10)
Right in Monastiraki, this hotel could not be in a better position if it tried. Literally everything is on your doorstep, from the interesting markets that went in all directions from the square to an incredible choice of restaurants.
Pretty much everything is within walking distance from this hotel. A walk to the base of The Acropolis took no more than 30 minutes.
The rooftop restaurant had a wonderful view of The Parthenon as did our hotel window.
Room was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory & staff friendly.
What could be improved: Couple of things bugged me. The TV would not connect to any apps so watching Netflix was a problem. Also, the large rain shower head was partially blocked & instead of a fine shower spray, it was more like huge rain drops. Fortunately the smaller shower head worked.
Surprised that the cleaning staff missed this & a little letdown I think considering how much this place has going for it.Alexandros from United Kingdom – 19 March 2025 (8/10)

Spacious room
What could be improved: Bad noise insulation (dont think you’ll get much sleep if you’re a light sleeper)
Cleaners don’t knock on the door before entering (happened once I hope it’s not a common thing)Matteo from United Kingdom – 21 February 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location, clean hotel, very friendly staff, highly recommended for families! I spent 4 days with my family; it was easy to reach a great location for an afternoon nap while visiting the town center.
What could be improved: WiFi at roof level could be improvedAtilla from Turkey – 8 February 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location, comfortable beds and sofa beds, good breakfast
What could be improved: Heating is poor, breakfast room was very cold !Atilla from Turkey – 6 February 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location…
What could be improved: Heating was poor, especially breakfast saloon was very cold and wet due to the rain.Georgios from United Kingdom – 6 February 2025 (9/10)
The room was very comfortable, with great views of the acropolis. Also, it was at the corner of Monastiraki square, right in the middle of the area with the restaurants, bars, and amenities.
What could be improved: The lifts are shared with a popular roof bar, thus get a lot of traffic in the evenings.Azar from Canada – 23 January 2025 (8/10)
Very practical
What could be improved: Timing of the breakfast, I wished they start serving it early
