You’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of Plaka (thank god), but you can still walk to pretty much everything that matters. I found myself grabbing coffee at this little place around the corner most mornings – the owner knew every guest from the building by day three, which tells you something about the neighborhood feel here. The metro’s close enough when your feet give out from all the marble-stair climbing, and there’s actually decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Athens traffic. What I loved most was coming back in the evenings; while everyone else was fighting crowds down in Monastiraki, I’d be up here watching the city lights come on with a glass of wine from that little shop two blocks over.

The loft itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – there are books scattered around, art that looks chosen rather than bulk-ordered, and a kitchen that’s clearly been used for more than just heating up instant coffee. Sure, the shower pressure could be stronger (this is an old building after all), and if you’re used to American-sized refrigerators, well… adjust your expectations. But honestly? These tiny details fade when you’re waking up to that view every morning. The whole experience feels genuine in a way that’s getting harder to find in Athens these days. If you’re looking for cookie-cutter luxury, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re actually living in the city for a few days rather than just passing through – and you don’t mind climbing a few flights of stairs – this loft gets it right.

  Amazing host – had trouble finding parking (should never have got a rental car!) but the host was patient with us even though we got to the apartment at 11pm at night. She was very knowledgeable on her city and gave us plenty of advice and places to go during our time in Athens.
  
  What could be improved: Parking in the neighbourhood but that’s not the fault of anyone it’s just a very busy place & id advise on not getting a car if you want to stay within Athens itself!

  Lovely apartment, super quiet, everything is very well taken care of and the host is super helpful! You can easily walk to the city center and leave your car parked downstairs.
  Although the view of the acropolis has been blocked by recent construction, the huge balcony was will extremely enjoyable (even in October) and provides a beautiful experience with unobstructed view of the night sky: we even saw Venus while still in bed!

  The host is a super nice person, very knowledgeable and helpful. The apartment has everything needed for a perfect stay and more, clean, well designed, super comfortable bed, high ceilings and absolutely gorgeous HUGE terrace with a view. Location is convenient yet not a crazy touristy area so you can have a good night sleep. Definitely recommend! Can’t wait to go back!
