Pi Athens Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Pi Athens? The name had me expecting some quirky math-themed boutique hotel, but this 4-star spot is actually way more sophisticated than that. I mean, sure, there are subtle geometric touches throughout the design, but it’s done with this understated elegance that feels distinctly Greek rather than gimmicky.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Athens like someone who actually lives there. You’re not stuck in the touristy Plaka area fighting crowds of cruise ship passengers – instead, you’re positioned where you can walk to the real neighborhoods where locals grab their morning coffee. I found myself wandering down side streets I never would have discovered from a more central hotel, stumbling into these tiny family-run tavernas that don’t even have English menus. The staff here gets that too – they’ll point you toward the bakery around the corner that makes incredible spanakopita, not just the obvious tourist traps.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between modern comfort and Greek character. The rooms have this clean, minimalist vibe with really good lighting (something so many hotels mess up), but you’ll find local artwork and these beautiful textiles that feel authentically Athenian. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious – I actually had room to spread out my toiletries without everything falling into the sink. Air conditioning works properly too, which honestly became my main concern during those sweltering August afternoons when the city feels like an oven.
Service-wise, they strike this nice balance of being helpful without hovering. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, and the front desk folks genuinely seem to know the city well. When I mentioned wanting to catch sunset somewhere less obvious than the Acropolis, they pointed me toward this rooftop bar about ten minutes away that ended up being one of my favorite discoveries of the trip. That 8.5 rating makes total sense – it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what you hope for without any unpleasant surprises. The neighborhood gets quiet at night too, so you’ll actually sleep well, but you’re still close enough to dive into Athens’ incredible food scene whenever the mood strikes.
Athens’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with classical charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this historically significant Greek capital.

Amazing location, right in the centre of Athens and a couple of minutes walk from the main sights. They are also incredibly helpful and will strive to help you where you can

Persefoni from Greece (9/10)
Good location and facilities. People running the hotel more than helpful.
Gordon from Greece (9/10)
Location was excellent, just a minutes walk from the old Olympic stadium. Pagrati (Παγκράτι) is full of bars and cafes and not as expensive as central Athens. It’s a 5 minute direct bus to Megaron so good for concerts. Parking included in the price made the cost very reasonable.
Anna from Poland (8/10)
Everything was great, especially since it was close to the monuments and main attractions.
