Azur Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Azur Hotel, you immediately get that feeling of being somewhere special without the stuffiness that comes with some upscale places. The lobby has this clean, modern Greek aesthetic — think white marble mixed with subtle blue accents that actually make sense given the name. It’s a four-star property, and honestly, they’ve nailed that sweet spot where everything feels polished but not intimidating. The attention to detail in the design elements creates an atmosphere that perfectly balances sophistication with approachability, making guests feel welcome from the moment they step through the doors.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Vouliagmeni — it’s one of those Athens suburbs that locals know about but tourists often miss. You’re basically on the Athens Riviera, which sounds fancy but really just means you get proper beaches without the chaos of central Athens. The hotel sits right where Dekelias meets Danais, and I mean right there — you can walk to Vouliagmeni Beach in about ten minutes. The area has this relaxed, almost resort-like vibe that’s completely different from the intensity you’ll find around the Acropolis. The neighborhood offers an authentic Greek coastal experience while maintaining easy access to the capital’s cultural attractions and historical sites.

The Room Experience

My room faced the sea — well, sort of, you catch glimpses of blue between the buildings — and the design kept that same minimalist Greek island feel from downstairs. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and you know what I appreciated? Proper water pressure in the shower. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in Greece), and there’s enough parking space that you don’t have to circle the block if you’re driving. Each accommodation features thoughtfully chosen furnishings and modern amenities that enhance the overall comfort and functionality of the space.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel restaurant does this Mediterranean thing really well — fresh seafood, local ingredients, nothing too complicated. I had dinner there twice, and both times the fish was clearly caught that day. There’s also a small spa area that’s perfect after you’ve spent the day walking around Athens or lounging on the beach. It’s not huge, but it has everything you need to unwind. The kitchenette facilities in select rooms provide added convenience for extended stays. The culinary team takes pride in sourcing ingredients from local markets and fishermen, ensuring authentic flavors that reflect the region’s rich gastronomic heritage.

Why Guests Love It

Look, couples absolutely love this place — and I can see why. Vouliagmeni has this romantic, laid-back energy that’s hard to find closer to the city center. You’re still connected to Athens (the tram runs regularly), but you feel like you’re on a proper beach holiday. The staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, which is refreshing. Plus, if you want to explore the real Athens Riviera — the beaches, the waterfront cafes, the sunset spots that locals actually go to — you’re perfectly positioned here. It’s one of those places where you can have both the cultural Athens experience and the Greek island vibe without choosing between them. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, this hotel delivers on both fronts with exceptional service and genuine hospitality that creates lasting memories.

Reviews of Azur Hotel

  • Vicente from Brazil (9/10)

The hotel is located in a beautiful street, near every main attraction in Vouliagmeni. We spent two days there and didn’t need a taxi to get to Vouliagmeni lake or Astir Beach. It was all within walking distance. There are lots of restaurants and beach activities to do in the region. Regarding the hotel architecture, it truly has the boutique hotel vibe, with a private swimming pool with ambience music and private rooms. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options and was very carefully prepared. Also, the staff is incredibly nice. Everyone was always smiling and ready to assist us in everything we needed! Recommend 100%!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. The facility was very clean. My only downside was the size of the room. For 2 people it was a little to small, but it was comfortable. I would stay there again.jh
