What I didn’t expect was how perfectly positioned you are for everything else too. Plaka’s winding streets are right there (though far enough that you don’t get the tourist chaos at night), and honestly, some of my favorite discoveries happened just wandering the neighborhood in the early morning when the light hits those neoclassical buildings just right. There’s this little bakery around the corner – I never caught the name – but they do these amazing cheese pies that became my daily breakfast ritual.

The apartment itself has that modern Athens vibe down perfectly – clean lines, good lighting, and thank god, really solid air conditioning because August in Athens is no joke. The bed was actually comfortable, which you know isn’t always a given with vacation rentals, and the kitchen had everything I needed for those nights when I just wanted to grab some local cheese and wine and eat on the little balcony. You can see the Acropolis from there if you crane your neck a bit, though I’ll admit the view isn’t the main selling point – it’s more about the whole experience of being in this vibrant part of the city. The shower pressure was surprisingly good too, which I always appreciate after long days of walking on ancient marble.

What really struck me was how the neighborhood comes alive in the evenings. You’ve got locals heading home from work mixing with visitors, and there’s this energy that feels authentically Athenian rather than touristy. The area around Dionysou Areopagitou – that’s the pedestrian street that runs along the Acropolis – becomes this lovely evening promenade, and you’re perfectly positioned to join in without feeling like you’re staying in a hotel district. Parking would be a nightmare if you’re driving (don’t), but the metro connections are solid, and honestly, everything you want to see is walkable from here anyway. I found myself using this place as a perfect home base – close enough to duck back for an afternoon rest when the heat got intense, but right in the thick of things when I wanted to be out exploring.

  Facilitated check-in in the middle of the night (key in locker). Host very helpful. Perfect location to reach Acropolis museum, Acropolis, Hadrian's gate, Parliament, Plaka by foot. Very comfortable bed.

  The apartment is very well situated near acropolis and we could do everything by foot. Even though the check-in was supposed to happen only after 3pm, the hosts made it possible for us to get the keys already earlier. In addition they also left us a second pair of keys upon request which made our stay much easier. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our whole stay. Can definitely recommend this apartment.

  とにかく立地と設備、広さが最高。メトロの最寄駅Acropoliから徒歩4分程度で、スーツケースを引きながら歩いてもok
  な道のり。Acropoli駅は上下ともにエスカレーターがあり、空港への移動では1つ隣のsyntagma駅で乗り換えが必要だが、こちらもエスカレーターがあるので楽。空港〜宿間の移動がスムーズだった。鍵は、マンション入口のキーボックスからピックアップで非対面。チェックアウトもダイニングテーブルに鍵を置いて出るだけ。ごみだけ、近くの路上のごみ箱（青はリサイクル）に自分で捨てる必要があるので注意。夫婦で泊まるのに十分な広さがあって長期滞在も快適だった。収納とハンガー（しかも服が滑らないハンガー！）がたくさんあって、洗濯機もあり、室内やテラスに干せる洗濯物干しも常備されていて助かった。シャワーは水圧は弱いが、常時すぐにお湯がでて快適。すぐ近くにはコンビニみたいなミニマーケットやピザのテイクアウトができるイタリア系カフェがあり、少し歩くとスーパーABもあり、部屋ごはん派には最適な環境でした。ゼウス神殿やアクロポリス博物館がすぐ近くにあるのが信じられないほどの静寂。ニオイや騒音問題、治安も問題ナシ。ホストもすぐに返信くれて問題ナシ。次回またアテネ泊があれば、ここに泊まりたいと思える優良アパートメントでした！
