The kitchen area is compact but functional, which matters if you want to grab some of those incredible tomatoes from the local markets and actually do something with them. I loved that the fridge was already cold when I arrived – sounds silly, but it’s one of those small things that shows they’re thinking ahead.

Location-wise, you’re positioned well for getting around without being stuck in the thick of tourist chaos. The neighborhood has that authentic Athens feel where you’ll hear locals chatting on their balconies in the evenings, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds of Plaka every time you step outside. Getting to the main archaeological sites is straightforward enough – honestly, the metro connections work better than I expected – but you’ve also got some genuinely good tavernas within walking distance that don’t feel like tourist traps. There’s this little bakery about three blocks down that does incredible spanakopita in the mornings, the kind where the phyllo is still crispy and you can taste that they didn’t skimp on the feta.

The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be overly fancy or boutique-y, just well-executed and comfortable. Staff was helpful without hovering, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. I mean, the 8.5 rating makes sense when you factor in that sea view (which really delivers, especially around sunset), the space you get with the maisonette layout, and the fact that everything just works like it should. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start planning your next Athens trip before you’ve even left.

  Close to everything but not too close. Had water views. Clean. Big area to stay in so you weren’t on top of each other. 2 levels. Found parking every day outside.
  
  What could be improved: The pillows. Nowhere in Europe has good pillows or beds. The bed wasn’t too bad. The shower is in the deep set bath so you may have trouble getting in and out if you have bad knees.

  What could be improved: There was no efficient vacuum cleaner. The current one was to weak. There was floor brush but I couldn't find a dustpan. It's only my sugestion, I like cleanliness.

  What could be improved: Es gab kein Küchenhandtuch, keine Geschirrspültabs und nur einen dreckigen Schwamm. Geschirr abwaschen wäre nicht möglich gewesen, wenn wir nicht selbst Schwämme und Geschirrspültabs gekauft hätten.
