You’re staying in a real Athenian neighborhood where locals grab their morning coffee and kids play in the small parks, yet you’re still ridiculously close to everything that matters.

The suites themselves surprised me – and I mean that in the best way. These aren’t your cookie-cutter hotel rooms with that weird corporate smell. Each one feels more like a friend’s well-designed apartment, with enough space to actually unpack your stuff (thank god) and kitchenettes that are actually functional. The bathrooms are particularly nice – good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this city. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. Even with the windows open during those warm summer evenings, the street noise doesn’t really penetrate, which is pretty remarkable for Athens.

The neighborhood itself is where this place really shines, I think. You’ve got the Onassis Cultural Centre just a short walk away – seriously underrated spot if you’re into contemporary art or just want to escape the tourist crowds for a bit. And the metro connections are actually fantastic from here; you can be in Syntagma Square in maybe fifteen minutes, but when you come back in the evening, you’re returning to somewhere that feels authentically Greek rather than like a theme park. There’s this little taverna around the corner (the staff will point you toward it) where I had some of the best grilled octopus of my entire trip – the kind of place you’d never find if you were staying in Plaka. The morning walks to grab fresh bread and Greek coffee became this unexpected ritual I actually looked forward to. Sure, it’s not a five-star luxury experience, but honestly? The 8.0 rating feels about right – it’s solid, comfortable, and gives you that insider’s view of the city that most hotels can’t deliver.

  After spending 10 days in a tiny cabin on a cruise ship the Athens Metro Suites felt like living in a mansion. We used the refrigerator, microwave oven, and induction cooktop. The suite was very clean, and the elevator worked well. The televisions worked fine as did the HVAC. We really appreciated the ability to lock our luggage in a secure storage area before check-in time. The neighborhood was quiet the weekend we stayed, except for the fireworks after Easter Sunday midnight service. We weren't adventurous enough to try public transportation, but it only cost 7euros for a taxi to the entrance of the Acropolis. We would certainly stay there again for a longer time.

  Great location, modern apartment, was very clean and well kept. Staff were very helpful. Close to metro and several good restaurants. A couple of metro stops to all the main attractions.
