There’s this little taverna around the corner where the owner, Yiannis, makes incredible moussaka (honestly better than most of the fancy places in Plaka), and you’re close enough to the Ancient Agora that you can actually walk there before the crowds hit.

What I really appreciated was the attention to practical stuff – the air conditioning actually works (crucial in summer, trust me), there’s decent water pressure, and the kitchen is properly equipped if you want to hit the local markets. The space genuinely feels like 155 square meters, which is huge by Athens standards. I mean, you could easily fit six people here without everyone stepping on each other. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being on a higher floor means you’ll hear the occasional motorbike echoing up from the street, but honestly? That’s just Athens being Athens. Check-in was smooth too – the host met me right on time and gave me actual useful tips about the area, not just the generic tourist stuff. With an 8.4 rating, you know other people have figured out what makes this place special, and after spending a week there, I totally get why.

  The view, the outdoor verandah with sufficient seating, the air conditioning worked very well, proximity to sites like the Acropolis and the Agora, grocery market, etc, felt safe walking in the neighborhood and to sites, great storage in the 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor, elevator access to the 3rd and 4th floors of the unit, a sufficient amount of coffee was provided and a bottle of wine and a bottled water was also provided which was nice & unexpected, washer and dryer access, and sufficient linens and items to assist with our stay such as dishwasher cleaning pods, toilet paper, paper towels, new kitchen cloths to clean dishes, grocery markets nearby, etc.

  Excellent location close to Acropolis. Many very nice restaurants within a couple blocks also shopping. Host was very helpful and arranging transportation to and from the airport also very responsive with any questions I had. Nice view of the Acropolis at night.

  The location was fantastic and charming there are many places to eat shop, and neander. The accommodations were clean and comfortable we only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. The neighborhood is safe and there is a view of the Acropolis from the cozy family room and terrace.

  The location was tops, especially for the Acropolis. The elevator was very appreciated and it has a view of the Acropolis. Nicely set up for a short or longer term stay. They will set up airport transfers for you and help with logistics, even bag storage.
