The Thiseio location is what sold me, though. You know how most places claim “great views” and then you end up staring at someone’s laundry line? Well, not here. The Acropolis views are legit – I spent way too much time on that terrace with my morning coffee, watching the light change on the Parthenon. The neighborhood itself is one of those spots that feels authentically Athenian without being touristy. There’s this little taverna around the corner where the owner, Yiannis, makes incredible moussaka (honestly better than most of the fancy places in Plaka), and you’re close enough to the Ancient Agora that you can actually walk there before the crowds hit.
What I really appreciated was the attention to practical stuff – the air conditioning actually works (crucial in summer, trust me), there’s decent water pressure, and the kitchen is properly equipped if you want to hit the local markets. The space genuinely feels like 155 square meters, which is huge by Athens standards. I mean, you could easily fit six people here without everyone stepping on each other. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being on a higher floor means you’ll hear the occasional motorbike echoing up from the street, but honestly? That’s just Athens being Athens. Check-in was smooth too – the host met me right on time and gave me actual useful tips about the area, not just the generic tourist stuff. With an 8.4 rating, you know other people have figured out what makes this place special, and after spending a week there, I totally get why.

The view, the outdoor verandah with sufficient seating, the air conditioning worked very well, proximity to sites like the Acropolis and the Agora, grocery market, etc, felt safe walking in the neighborhood and to sites, great storage in the 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor, elevator access to the 3rd and 4th floors of the unit, a sufficient amount of coffee was provided and a bottle of wine and a bottled water was also provided which was nice & unexpected, washer and dryer access, and sufficient linens and items to assist with our stay such as dishwasher cleaning pods, toilet paper, paper towels, new kitchen cloths to clean dishes, grocery markets nearby, etc.

Excellent location close to Acropolis. Many very nice restaurants within a couple blocks also shopping. Host was very helpful and arranging transportation to and from the airport also very responsive with any questions I had. Nice view of the Acropolis at night.

We loved the balcony and the views of the acropolis. It was very spacious, secure and cool and the welcome gifts were very good. The lift was very useful and the location was good, close to the centre but quiet.
