The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which is saying something. I ended up cooking breakfast a few mornings because, you know what, sometimes you just want your coffee exactly how you like it without having to explain it to someone else. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the air conditioning works without sounding like a freight train, which honestly makes all the difference during those sweltering Athens summers.

Here’s the thing that really sets this place apart though – the location gives you options. You’re not stuck in the tourist bubble around Plaka where everything costs twice as much, but you’re also not so far out that getting to the Acropolis becomes a whole expedition. I found myself walking to different neighborhoods for dinner, discovering those little tavernas that don’t have English menus but serve the kind of food that makes you understand why Greeks are so passionate about eating. The staff actually knows the area too – when I asked about a good place for souvlaki that wasn’t a tourist trap, the guy at the front desk drew me a little map to this spot about ten minutes away that became my regular lunch place. That 8.8 rating makes perfect sense when you experience this kind of genuine hospitality. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Athens, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re traveling – comfort, location, and people who care about making your stay work.

  The apartment is super central and everything is reachable by foot. All the bars, coffee spots and restaurants are just around the corner. Even the shopping street Ermou, syntagma square and the acropolis/plaka can be reached with a nice stroll through the small streets.
  We loved everything about it! It was super clean and very modern!! The hosts were very kind and offered help for transportation and if anything else is needed! We are definitely coming back!!
