The ceilings are high enough that you’re not feeling claustrophobic during those brutal August afternoons (trust me on this one), and the windows – well, they’re generous. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and honestly, I’d just leave them open most of the day because the neighborhood has this nice residential hum without the constant motorbike chaos you get closer to Syntagma. The bathrooms are what really sold me though – they’ve managed to blend modern fixtures with the original architectural details, so you’re not showering in some tiny prefab situation. Actually, the water pressure was better than my apartment back home, which is saying something.

Here’s what you should know about the location – it’s in one of those pockets of Athens where you feel like you’re living there, not just visiting. I’d walk to this little bakery every morning (maybe three blocks away) where the owner would nod at me by day three like I belonged. The metro connection is solid without being right on top of you, and parking… well, it’s Athens, so manage your expectations, but the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real advice about where to leave your car if you’re driving. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you factor in that this isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in the city – it’s trying to be the kind of place where you sleep well, feel comfortable, and don’t have to think too hard about the logistics of your stay. Some mornings I’d sit with coffee on the small balcony in my room, watching the neighborhood wake up, and it felt more like staying at a well-designed friend’s place than a hotel. That’s pretty rare in a four-star property, honestly.

  We booked at very short notice as our flight was grounded at Athens. We were greeted at the door, shown all the amenities of the apartment and were told where to get something to eat, having arrived at 23.00 hours!

  A very fine building in a centric location. Classical features like ceiling frescoes but with modern furniture. Comfortable beds and tasty coffee. The toiletries smelled beautifully 🥰

  Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Perfect for a couple or close group of friends. Basic cooking facilities but worked perfectly for us, and plenty of pots, pans, plates and bowls etc.
  Our only (very minor) complaint is that sometimes the noise from neighbours or from the road is quite loud, but that is to be expected in such a central location I think.
  Also, the hosts are lovely, responsive, and having their hotel so nearby is very useful for storing luggage!

  Creative interieur, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen (including toaster and Nespresso coffee machine), located in good walking-distance of major sites, parking just opposite side of the street.

  Great apartment, perfectly located in Psiri, close to restaurants, bars, and a short walk to all main attractions. Professional and friendly host. Good kitchen in apartment, clean and spacious apartment itself. Comfortable beds.
