Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name NEW!Acropolis View highly Stylish Flat,2 min metro, I thought “okay, another overhyped Airbnb situation.” But you know what? Sometimes the places with the slightly chaotic names actually deliver, and this one really does.

The location is genuinely ridiculous in the best way possible. I mean, you step out the door and you’re literally two minutes from Thissio metro station – I timed it because I’m that person. The walk takes you right past some of those little cafes where locals actually hang out (not the touristy ones), and honestly, the morning smell of Greek coffee and spanakopita from the bakery next door became my unofficial alarm clock. What caught me off guard though was how quiet it stays despite being so central. I was expecting Athens traffic noise all night, but the apartment faces away from the main road, so you get these peaceful evenings where you can actually hear yourself think.

The Acropolis view they mention? It’s real, and it’s spectacular from the balcony – especially around sunset when the whole Parthenon glows golden. I spent way too many evenings out there with a beer from the corner shop just watching the light change. The flat itself has this modern, clean aesthetic that feels authentically stylish without trying too hard. Everything works properly (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given), the shower has decent water pressure, and there’s actually enough storage space for your stuff. The kitchen is small but functional if you want to grab ingredients from the Monastiraki market – it’s about a ten-minute walk through some really charming side streets.

What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly gets what travelers need. There’s good WiFi, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and they left actual helpful recommendations for places locals go, not just the obvious tourist spots. The check-in was smooth too – none of that “meet me at a random corner with a hand-drawn map” nonsense. I’d say the only minor thing is that the building’s entrance is a bit tricky to spot at first, but once you know where it is, you’re golden. With an 8.8 rating, it’s clearly not just me who thinks this place delivers on its promises.

  Παρά πολύ όμορφος χώρος, με κλασική αισθητική και πολύ ζεστός! Ωραία θέα και παρόλο που βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της Αθήνας δεν υπήρχε φασαρία. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
  
  What could be improved: Τα ξύλινα κουφώματα και πατζούρια, ενώ ταιριάζουν με την υπόλοιπη αισθητική, προκαλούν μια ελαφριά αίσθηση ανασφάλειας. Επίσης, το μπάνιο δεν έχει σχεδόν καθόλου φωτισμό (εκτός αν απλά έτυχε να καεί η μεγάλη λάμπα κατά τη διαμονή μας).

  What could be improved: We did not receive the apartment that was advertised in the listing. The place we were provided was in no way on par with the images that were listed. I would not have booked this location if the property images had been provided for the price charged. We were left feeling disappointed.

  Die Wohnung liegt zentral in einem hippen Viertel und hat gute Anschlüsse an den Nahverkehr. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind um die Ecke. Vieles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Der Blick auf die Akropolis ist teils verstellt durch ein anderes Wohnhaus, aber trotzdem toll. Die Wohnung hat zwei Balkone, so dass je nach Sonnenliebe gewechselt werden kann.
  
  What could be improved: Der Ausblick vom hinteren Balkon geht auf einen Mix von nicht historischen Ruinen, unfertigen Gebäuden, Wohnhäusern. Aber das ist eben auch Athen.

  Absolutely fantastic location within Athens Old Town. Cafes and restaurants within a minute of the apartment, but there was no noise throughout our stay. As the apartment is on the 4th floor the lift was a bonus. A 3 min walk from Monastiraki square and metro station giving easy access to all parts of Athens. All major shopping outlets were a short walk away and the flea market which was amazing, selling very high quality products. We loved having front & rear balcony areas and the view towards the acropolis. The apartment was extremely comfortable and we really enjoyed the range of lighting combinations possible. The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows were provided. We also made full use of the wet-room bathroom with a gorgeous shower where shampoo/shower wash had been provided.

  Fantastic to enjoy the sight of the Acropolis from the terrace. The situation is perfect. Close to everything but still a calm neighborhood. Appartement with space. Very good wifi connection.

  1.The view from the balcony is amazing, there are many restaurants with local cuisine nearby.
  2. The host waited for us despite the late arrival time, explained everything thoroughly, suggested several tour routes and showed us places where we could eat something after midnight 😁
  3.Apartment with a separate bedroom, a large comfortable bed, air conditioning and balconies in both rooms.
  4. Children could use YouTube on TV, WiFi worked without any problem.
  5. The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring the center of Athens without a car,
