You know what hit me first when I walked into Niki in Athens? The lobby actually felt like someone’s stylish home rather than another cookie-cutter hotel space. There’s this warm, lived-in elegance that immediately puts you at ease – think modern Greek hospitality without the tourist trap vibe that’s honestly pretty rare to find in Athens these days.

The staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, which I mean, sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how often that’s missing. They’ll chat with you about the best souvlaki spots (not the ones packed with tour groups) and actually remember your name by day two. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – everything works properly, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out when you need it most, and the beds are actually comfortable enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with a Greek myth all night. The bathrooms have that rainfall shower situation that normally feels gimmicky, but here it’s just… nice. Simple as that.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in the city. You’re close enough to the action that you can walk to the major sites without plotting out some elaborate metro journey, but far enough from the chaos around Syntagma that you can actually sleep at night. I love that you can grab proper Greek coffee from the little place around the corner in the morning – the kind where the owner nods at you by day three because you’re becoming a regular. The neighborhood has this authentic Athens energy where you’ll see locals going about their day, not just other tourists taking selfies. Honestly, after spending time here, those massive chain hotels near the Acropolis start to feel pretty soulless in comparison. The 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s that sweet spot where everything just works without feeling overly fussy or trying too hard to impress you.

  Even better than the pictures, the apartment was stunning, spacious, and comfortable. The location? Wow – couldn’t imaging being in a better location. The host was so nice and helpful, and stocked the apartment with everything we needed.

  The property was in a perfect location, so conveniently located to explore Athens, with stunning views of the Acropolis and ruins of Zeus Temple. Check in was smooth and we were given lots of good recommendations from the host. The apartment was big and spacious and really comfortable. Would recommend to anyone visiting Athens.

  The Niki in Athens property provides an exceptional stay in an exceptional location very near to the Acropolis and the quaint Plaka District. The views of Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Zeus from each bedroom and living room is stunning, especially at night!! The beds are extremely comfortable and the automatic black out shades are amazing!! Lastly, the personal welcome by Niki when we arrived to escort us to the apartment and show us around the apartment was also exceptional! We highly recommend The Niki In Athens luxury apartment for any stay in Athens!!

  I have to say nothing but amazing things!!! From the communication, to the service, to the location, to the ease of check in, to the amenities. Everything was Fantastic! George is an amazing host. He communicated with me from the beginning, set up my transfers, gave recommendations and checked on us all throughout our stay.
  My main concerns are always location when I travel and this place is walking distance to EVERYTHING. Acropolis 5 min. If I come back to Athens I would definitely stay here again!
