Star Parthenon Apartment Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Star Parthenon Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But you know what? Sometimes the places with quirky names turn out to be the real gems, and this 4-star spot is definitely one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.
The thing that struck me right away is how this place manages to feel both polished and homey at the same time. I mean, you’re getting proper apartment-style accommodations with that 9.2 rating to back it up, but there’s none of that sterile hotel chain vibe that can make you feel like you’re sleeping in a catalog. The spaces actually breathe – you’ve got room to spread out your stuff, maybe cook a quick breakfast if you want, and honestly, after a few days of cramped hotel rooms on other trips, having that extra space feels like such a luxury. The kitchenette setup is pretty thoughtful too, not just some token mini-fridge and coffee maker situation.
What really sells me on this place though is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve been there a day or two. The soundproofing is actually decent (and trust me, I’m someone who notices every footstep from the room above), the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out when you need it most, and the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. No lengthy presentations about timeshare opportunities or pushy upsells – just friendly, efficient service from people who seem to actually care about whether you have a good stay. I also appreciated that they clearly put some thought into the local area recommendations. Not just the obvious tourist traps, but some genuinely useful suggestions for where to grab good coffee in the morning or find a decent meal that won’t break the bank. The neighborhood itself has that nice lived-in feel where you can actually imagine locals going about their daily routines, which I always prefer over those super-touristy areas where everything feels like it’s performing for visitors. You’ll find yourself walking past little cafes and shops that feel authentic, and the whole area has this comfortable energy that makes evening strolls actually enjoyable rather than something you do just because you think you should.
Exploring Athens offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the birthplace of democracy, from its iconic Parthenon to its vibrant neighborhoods and world-renowned archaeological treasures.

Reviews of Star Parthenon Apartment
Robert from Australia – 31 May 2025 (10/10)
What a great place in the heart ❤️ of Athens close to attractions, food, and transport.
The accommodation was brilliant all the comforts you need for any length of stay.
The hosts Sylvia & Raphael made everything easy with their high level of communication and organising transport for us.
Great stay. Great place 👍🏾Mark from United Kingdom – 9 May 2025 (9/10)
The location was absolutely brilliant. The roof terrace was amazing. Plenty of hot water and kitchen facilities were great. Great value for money due to location. Information/recommendations within the premises was good.
What could be improved: Key collection was a little stressful – we thought somebody would meet us at the property, but instructions were sent via booking.com just as we left the airport which we had difficulty accessing due to mobile phone connectivity issues – all was resolved following a phone call and a message being sent via a text message/whatsapp message. Apartment was a little dated, but acceptable. Bedding was sheets and a blanket – why not duvets? Rooftop was a little untidy and uninviting, so you must take your own chairs/table from the apartment – the view of the Acropolis made up for lack of facilities. Courtyard garden was nice and cool, but a little uninviting.Valeria from France – 24 February 2025 (10/10)
beautiful garden, very quiet, central location
Morshidi from Brunei Darussalam – 5 January 2025 (8/10)
The location. Very close to the Acropolis, museum and Plaka. And of course Sylvia is very accommodating. And shout out to helpful Nikos (transport).
What could be improved: The weather because it was winter.Brian from United States – 27 October 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is very clean and decorated like the owners live there themselves, which gave it a nice warm and comfortable feeling. During our down times it is important for us to be comfortable in the apartment. There is access to the rooftop for great views of the Acropolis. The great location goes without saying, but I will say it anyway because that is why you are reading this review. 🙂 It is a very short walk to the entrance of the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the Temple of Zeus, Plaka, the hop-on hop-off bus stop and is directly across the street from the Acropoli subway station that connects with the airport and Piraeus ferry terminal.
What could be improved: Nothing at allLarry from United States – 30 June 2024 (10/10)
The hosts were brilliant! The apartment is very quiet and the location could not be better for seeing the antiquities (only 2 or 3 minutes walk to the Acropolis entrance). Tons of restaurants nearby and the Plaka is always lively. And the view from the private rooftop terrace in the evening is unparalleled!
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike!James from United States – 29 June 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location, 100 feet from the entrance to the old neighborhood, shops coffee, bars, everything. Amazing view from the roof of the acropolis. Welcoming host. Highly recommend. Photo is from the roof

Everything is perfect! Clean and beautiful, can find anything you want that the host Sylvia and Raphael prepared considerately, not only the stuffs in the apartment but also tips in the QR code. Don’t forget the terrace on the rooftop where you will get surprise!

Our first contact with the host, Sylvia, was very positive and she kindly arranged for a taxi from the airport. The driver met us at the gate and we had a safe air conditioned ride right to the property.
The apartment itself is in a secured building right next to many restaurants and across from the Acropoli metro station.
It is a perfect location for the side entrance to the Acropolis and the Plaka shopping area. In a downstairs area, the apartment was pleasantly cool and surprisingly quiet, we heard nothing from the busy pedestrian street above. It was nicely equipped and very clean and opened onto a private courtyard with plenty of singing birds. We loved being able to pop back into the apartment to cool down, relax and use the toilet during our sightseeing.
The highlight of this stay was definitely the roof terrace. We were able to enjoy an amazing view of the Acropolis by ourselves, with a bottle of wine and music floating up from the street. It was such an experience!
What could be improved: Nothing, we were very pleased with this apartment.Carly from United States – 10 January 2024 (10/10)
The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. This apartment is so close to the Acropolis and is right next to a subway station so it's easy to get to anywhere in Athens. There are tons of nearby restaurants and taverns. The hosts even compiled a list of their favorites. Would definitely stay again!
What could be improved: None.
