Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection By Hilton Overview

You know what struck me first about Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection By Hilton? It’s one of those places that feels like it actually belongs in Athens – not just some generic luxury box dropped into the city. I mean, the moment you walk through those doors, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into connecting the space with the city’s energy and history.

The rooms honestly surprised me. Sure, it’s a 5-star property so you’d expect quality, but there’s something about the way they’ve balanced modern comfort with subtle nods to Greek design that works really well. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and the bathrooms have that spa-like feel without being over the top. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting – you can actually read without squinting, and there are enough outlets for all your devices without having to unplug the bedside lamp. Little things, but they matter when you’re settling in after a long day of wandering around the Plaka or climbing up to the Acropolis.

The staff here actually seem to know Athens, which isn’t always a given at international hotel chains. When I asked about getting to some of the lesser-known neighborhoods, the concierge didn’t just hand me a tourist map – they gave me specific metro stops and even mentioned which streets to avoid during rush hour. That kind of local insight makes a real difference. The whole place has this energy that feels connected to the city rather than isolated from it. I stayed during shoulder season in late spring, and while the hotel was busy, it never felt chaotic or rushed. Check-in was smooth, and honestly, the lobby area is the kind of space where you might actually want to sit and plan your day rather than just rush through. The 8.3 rating feels about right – it’s genuinely good without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a place that gives you that luxury hotel experience while still feeling like you’re actually in Athens rather than some international bubble, this is worth considering.

Adia Hotel is a stunning new addition to Athens’ boutique hotel scene. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully curated to create a luxury experience. The design is sleek and contemporary, with a calm, elegant atmosphere running throughout the entire property.

Our room was beautifully appointed – minimalist but warm, with high-end finishes, plush bedding, and a luxury bathroom. Everything felt brand new, clean, and well-maintained.

Service was equally impressive: friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. The rooftop offered amazing food and a chilled out pool area.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Athens that combines modern luxury with comfort and excellent service, Adia is a perfect choice.

What could be improved: As the hotel is new, there were a few errors but all ok in the end.

Music in the pool area and heated pool.
