I also appreciated the blackout curtains because, let’s face it, Greek summers mean early sunrises and you’ll want to sleep in after exploring the city until late.

They’re not just reciting tourist brochures – they’ll tell you which tavernas the locals frequent and when to visit certain sites to avoid the crowds. Speaking of location, you’re positioned perfectly to explore both the touristy areas and the more authentic parts of the city without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. I found myself walking to places I wanted to go rather than dealing with taxis or metro transfers, which saved both time and money. The area gets pretty quiet at night too, so you’re not dealing with street noise keeping you awake. With a 9.6 rating, this hotel is clearly doing something right – and after spending several nights there, I can see why guests keep coming back.
