I mean, the name says “penthouse” and they’re not kidding around.

The location is actually perfect if you want to experience Athens like a local rather than just checking off tourist boxes. You’re within walking distance of basically everything that matters – the Acropolis obviously, but also those little tavernas tucked into side streets that don’t have English menus (the best kind, honestly). The building itself has that solid, lived-in feel that a lot of Athens architecture has, but once you get up to your floor, it transforms into something more modern and polished. The elevator is one of those old-school European ones that makes you wonder if it’ll actually make it to the top, but it does – every time, thankfully.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to capture that whole “living above the city” vibe without making you feel disconnected from it. The views stretch out over Athens in a way that makes you want to just sit there with a coffee (or let’s be real, a glass of wine) and watch the city do its thing below you. During the day you can see the mountains in the distance getting hazy in the heat, and at night the lights spread out like someone scattered golden coins across dark fabric. The soundproofing is surprisingly good too – you get enough street life filtering up to remind you you’re in the heart of Athens, but not so much that you can’t sleep. I was there during a pretty busy weekend and never felt overwhelmed by noise, which in this city is saying something. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s got the comfort and style you want without being stuffy or overly formal. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give real recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and honestly, the whole experience felt more like staying in a really nice apartment than a typical hotel room. The 8.7 rating makes perfect sense when you factor in that view and the location – you’re paying for the privilege of being right in the center of one of Europe’s most fascinating cities, but with enough elevation to see it all spread out beneath you.

  The hosts were very helpful and kind! We got the instructions to get in before we arrived. When we had a problem, they went out of their way to help us, even late at night! The accomodation is exactly as pictured.

  Property has everything required, nice and spacious. Great area for walking to the main Athens attractions. Had a problem with a dodgey stiff key and the owner sorted it straight away and quickly.
  
  What could be improved: It’s on quite a noisy street with a lot of traffic horns (which can’t be helped by the property owner) but just remember to bring ear plugs

  The apartment is located in the centre of Athens, very easy to reach from the airport. The host was extremely responsive and helped us recovered our lost items after forgetting them in the apartment. The rooms are extremely spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the balcony has very nice views of the city.

  Clean, spacious, bathroom and two toilets. You can walk to most of the tourist attractions like the Parthenon and Syntagma Square. There are also lots of hidden lane ways, small roads full of shops and restaurants nearby.
